Look...Its an Elephant!!!

So for all those who doesn't know who this big animal is...Its an Elephant. I have heard that some people from USA has never seen one. :-D Well, They are here in Sri Lanka. Wanna see? Come visit. U can go on an elephant ride too. (On its back..U knw...Like a horse)

So I guess I should tell about this more. Asian Elephant (Elephas maximus maximus) is one of the few remaining mega-herbivores (Herbivores are animals that are adapted to eat plants) in the world. The Sri Lanka elephant population about 2,500 - 3,000 Elephants and about 7% of world population. There is an Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala and its a unique place in entire world where abandoned and disable Elephants get lot of care and protection. This place is one of the world's best Elephant breeding centers as well. (sources)
